Singham' sirf ooparwala banaa sakta hai," reacts Ajay Devgn at star-beta Yug Devgan's grand trailer launch of Sony (SPEI)'s Karate Kid: Legends by Chaitanya Padukone

Veteran yet evergreen action-romantic-dramatic megastar Ajay Devgn ( of recent superhit 'Raid 2' movie  fame) is known for his tough, rugged personality and stern looks. Ajay is also for his bass macho voice  At a grand event in Mumbai, mega-star  Ajay Devgn, along with his son Yug Devgan, launched the Hindi trailer of (SPEI) Sony Pictures Entertainment India's Karate Kid: Legends. 

The Father-Son duo are coming together for the first time ever to collaborate for an international film. While Ajay Devgn has lent his voice for the iconic Mr Han (Jackie Chan), whereas Yug debuts as the voice of Li Fong (Ben Wang). At the launch event, You impressed everyone by fluently saying his dialogue on stage  " Yaar, ek hee din mein Singham banaaoge kya ?"  After which dad Ajay Devgn reacted with " Singham koi kisiko nahi banaata !  Singham' sirf ooparwala hee banaa sakta hai," and the audience applauded  

This marks Ajay Devgn’s first-ever voice-over for an international film in his illustrious career, while Yug brings a fresh and youthful spirit to a globally beloved franchise.

Their real-life bond adds emotional resonance to the film’s central theme — the relationship between a mentor and his protégé. Yug’s passion for the franchise, natural charisma, and voice impact make him a fitting choice to carry forward the Karate Kid legacy for a new generation of Indian audiences.

Set in New York City, Karate Kid: Legends follows kung fu prodigy Li Fong as he adjusts to life in a new school, forges unexpected bonds, and is drawn into an intense showdown with a local karate champion. Under the guidance of his teacher Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) and the legendary Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), Li embarks on a transformative journey of self-discovery, courage, and growth.

The casting of Ajay and Yug not only celebrates family and legacy but also symbolizes a generational crossover — bridging the iconic legacy of The Karate Kid with fresh new voices.
